8/8/24 The cabin was perfectly situated by a river that we could enjoy while we were there. The best white noise in the world! The cabin was large enough and well arranged for our large family and made dinner time plus game time easy to do. The proximity to hikes and things to do was perfect for us. Dave and Anne are great communicators and did a terrific job checking on us and taking care of every question that we had about the area or about the cabin. These hosts are terrific and we would be glad to stay there anytime!
6/16/24 This cabin was an awesome place to spend our family vacation! It was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very cozy nestled by the river. We caught several nice trout in the river. The young ones enjoyed hiking. While sitting at the dinner table the river added enjoyment to our meals. Thanks for letting us stay in your cozy cabin!
2/14/24 We stayed here with our kids and their spouses for a 4 night ski trip. It’s the perfect location to get to Monarch in just minutes. The cabin itself is very charming and there was plenty of space to comfortably host all 10 of us. The views are exquisite too! Lastly, the host went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. Truly, perfect stay! We can’t wait to return!
2/4/24 We loved coming back to the cabin after several years. Everything is so nice and convenient for skiing. We hope to return in the summer!
1/6/24 We were so grateful for finding this cabin. All our kids want to come back to this same place every year! There were plenty of options for the kids to spread out and have space for fun & sleep. The kitchen was so well stocked (and so organized with the labels!) and easy to prepare meals away from home. Most thankful for the responses from the host from checking on our arrival to the prompt response and fixing of a minor plumbing issue. Meeting Dave & talking with him was one of our highlights. Thank you for sharing this cabin with us!
6/10/23 The Cabin at Sleepy Hollow is just beautiful -- surrounded by pine and aspen trees on the edge of the rushing water of the river. Mornings were so peaceful enjoying our coffee overlooking the river while sitting in comfortable wooden rocking chairs. The interior contains custom rough hewn woodwork throughout and the bedrooms and loft gave everyone in our party ample space to relax. Thank you, Dave & Anne!
1/20/23 The cabin was a perfect place for our family & friends ski vacation. It was so cute and cozy and fit everyone really well. It was clean and very well put together. Would definitely stay here again!
1/7/23 Lovely! We stayed here with our family friends and now-young-adult children to ski at Monarch and had a wonderful time in this warm and beautiful and cozy cabin with a well-stocked (and meticulously labeled) kitchen. The nicely-sized kitchen table was well-used for meals and nightly games and puzzles. The owners even called us while we were there to make sure everything was going all right.

6/22/22 Perfect! This cabin is heaven. The river rushing by it is nature’s white noise machine, and everything else from the dishes to the remotes were well organized, clean, and easy to understand. Can’t wait to go back.
6/4/22 My wife and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly at Sleepy Hollow Cabin and would not hesitate to come stay again with friends and family. The location is peaceful as it is right on a river that provides that quintessential mountain stream sound 24-7. Salida and Poncha Springs are close by with shopping and other restaurant options. Hunt Lake trail is almost across the street and is great ORV trail and hike. The location is also close to dozens of other hikes and attractions in the area.
5/22/22 Sleepy Hollow is such a prime location for a mountain getaway! We went with a group just for the weekend and even though we got snowed in, Sleepy Hollow was the perfect place to be during a snowstorm! It's cozy, (the fireplace is clutch!) quiet, and in such a beautiful location! Dave & Anne are super good at communicating, so there was no anxiety there! Highly recommend!

2/8/22 Picture perfect cabin with gorgeous views. Just what you'd dream of if you were envisioning a cozy stay in the middle of winter in the mountains of Colorado. The location was perfect for skiing at Monarch, it was only five miles up the road. We had all we needed at the cabin and made all our own meals, running just a 20 minute drive into Salida if we needed another ingredient at Walmart. The cabin was very clean and we were very comfortable for our 5 night stay. You'd definitely need 4 wheel drive to access the drive to the house (it does get plowed) so bring your beefy vehicles.
1/8/22 My group of family and friends stayed at Sleepy Hollow Cabin during a week-long ski trip right after New Year's. Very warm and homey, this cabin was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the owners were very responsive, friendly, and helpful.
9/23/21 In the mountains for a family wedding. The cabin rounded out a beautiful weekend. My daughter and I explored local hiking trails as we all enjoyed the comfort and beauty of Sleepy Hollow Cabin. This is the perfect mountain cabin in the eyes of this city boy. Amazing stream just outside. The cabin is large and accommodating. The views from the porch made my mornings memorable. Would love to come back and spend more time.

6/27/21 This cabin is clean, cozy, and roomy. We rented during the summer and it is well positioned around everything we wanted to do including biking, rafting, ATVs, hiking, shopping, eating, etc. Highly recommend.
6/4/21 What an absolutely gorgeous Airbnb! The rushing river behind the property made for such a beautiful view and soothing atmosphere. Great communication from the hosts. Highly recommend and would love to return!
5/31/21 Perfect place to stay with the family. The house comfortably slept 3 generations. We could have sat on one of the large porches all day, listening to the river, enjoying the view and playing games. But a 20 minute drive to Salida for the hot springs, shopping and river walk were totally worth leaving our peaceful, rustic, upscale cabin. We also enjoyed a hike that was just down the road. Would totally rent this place again. The owners, Dave and Anne, keep the place clean and are very responsive during the booking process, and even called to check in on us during our stay. It was a perfect setting for my father's 70th birthday.

3/17/21 The cabin was spacious, clean, and met all of our expectations. It's located near Monarch Ski Area and has a spectacular view! Service was outstanding. The property owners were friendly, caring, and prompt. Definitely recommend!!
3/7/21 What a great find this cabin was. It slept all 12 of us nicely. I was initially concerned with only two bathrooms, but that was really no problem at all. The location was very convenient to Monarch Mountain and also the town of Salida, both of which are fantastic places. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. One of the owners called me our our first night to make sure everything was to our liking, which was very sweet and much-appreciated. Everyone enjoyed themselves greatly and we would choose this cabin to stay in again!

12/19/20 We had our extended family Christmas ski and snow machine trip here. This is an excellent family type cabin. We would divinely do it again. Cabin has a real warm feeling and we all enjoyed it, both young and old. It is close to the ski slopes and the snow machine company was right up the road. We got to meet the home owner and you will not find a nicer person. For the price you will not find a better place that handles so many guests.
11/15/20 We had a whirlwind weekend here at your cozy cabin celebrating our daughter's engagement! We feel very blessed and so appreciate this beautiful cabin and the gorgeous surroundings. Had some great photo shots of the happy couple on the bridge and the snow and river! So perfect!

9/17/20 My husband and I were looking for a house where we could spend a couple of days in a weekend of fun with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren while we were visiting them in CO. The idea of being right on the river sounded exactly like what we needed. The house had enough space for three generations to spend time together and relax. The pictures don’t show all the beautiful wood construction inside the house. When you drive up to the house, it seems like it will be small, but the minute you walk inside you realize it’s incredibly spacious. Then you look out the windows to the gorgeous views of the trees, the rushing river and waterfalls. All levels have covered seating outside with rocking chairs. The wooden bridge over the river is so special. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes/cookware and ready for meal prep. All this and lots of activities for our group in the area as well as in Salida. We hope to be back again to this special place.
8/27/20 What a wonderful escape from the Texas heat and everything else 2020...! The cabin was perfect and just what we wanted...water rushing outside, aspen trees, etc. The area is SO pretty and we enjoyed seeing the sights. Thank you for sharing!

7/15/20 We had a fantastic time at Sleepy Hollow Cabin. There were 5 adults and 5 teenagers and we were very comfortable. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped with anything you could possibly need. The sound of the river was so peaceful and made for very enjoyable evenings and mornings at the cabin. We were able to enjoy whitewater rafting, hiking and horseback riding all within about 30 minute drive. Downtown Salida is also about 30 minutes away with quaint shops and good restaurants. One thing to note is that the nearest grocery store is 13 miles away. I would highly recommend the Sleepy Hollow Cabin without hesitation!!
6/21/20 We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation this summer. We took our four boys and stayed in Sleepy Hollow cabin for five days. The cabin is well maintained and very comfortable. The boys (and us) loved the access to the water and the peace of the location. While we did many things in the area, I asked our five year old his favorite part of vacation. He thought, and then said, "the cabin". Aside from the nice accommodations, the owners, Dave and Anne were wonderful hosts. Very amicable and welcoming. Our trip was enhanced because we were able to interact with these owners. Sleepy Hollow is a wonderful place to stay!

12/26/19 This Sleepy Hollow cabin was perfect for us to gift my 3 children and their kids an Event Present of a lifetime. The cabin was so close to snowmobile tour and the Monarch Ski area. The children also loved sledding on the secluded road. Thank You so very much! The Cabin was so well organized, clean and well stocked! We will book again very soon I hope. The setting is picturesque for winter or summer.
12/1/19 What a relaxing weekend! So peaceful and relaxing to wake up to it lightly snowing outside & fall asleep to the trickle of the stream right outside our bedroom door. This is our 5th time coming to Sleepy Hollow Cabin. We've come to think of it as a home away from home. Thank you for our lovely experience.

6/27/19 (Colorado) We had such a fantastic stay at Sleepy Hollow. It was a great weekend away from Denver with my nine girlfriends. We hiked, visited the hot springs and spent an afternoon in Salida. The house had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen and living room was very spacious. Wish we had more time to explore the surrounding area!

2/20/19 (Oklahoma) This cabin by far exceeded our expectations! Plenty of room for our party of 12. The scenery from each window or balcony was absolutely breathtaking. I would love to revisit during the summer months. It’s a great location for skiing. We grabbed groceries in Salida and the cabin was stocked with everything else we possibly needed, even sleds! Our crew had an absolute blast and we plan on returning next ski season if not sooner! I would highly recommend this cozy cabin to EVERYONE! 1/18/19 (Colorado) For our ski trip the property is fantastic. It is close enough to Monarch ski resort that the commute is a breeze in the morning and after long day of skiing easy and quick to come home. Even with double digit snow on Friday the road coming into the property was kept plowed that our vehicles, including a small crossover SUV, had no problems. Rooms are spacious enough including a bunk room for a group of kids. Internet worked after rebooting the router, but that was easy enough to-do and locate. I can imagine the Summer time is beautiful with the stream right behind the property and the deck.
12/11/18 (Texas) I love this cabin..The place was so comfortable, everything that we needed was there. The cabin, well, there are not words to explain the experience. Our family had a blast. We FINALLY had a white and cold Thanksgiving!! Coming from Houston Texas where Thanksgiving dinner attire is short sleeve and a light sweater, having dinner while it is snowing and enjoying from all angles of the cabin, the views were mesmerizing. The cabin was clean and well taken care of.. I totally recommend it. Thank you!!!!
7/26/18 We loved our trip to Sleepy Hollow! Could not imagine a more peaceful, serene, relaxing location! The creek was beautiful and listening to it was like beautiful music! The house worked well for 12 people in our group and was stocked with all the supplies we needed. Dave and Anne were wonderful to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. We hope to go back next year!
7/15/18 (Colorado) We had a wonderful time at your cabin! It was everything we wanted plus some. We surprised my dad for his 70th Birthday and he couldn’t have enjoyed it more! The house was beautiful, so clean and well maintained. The weather was perfect and the sound of the river was just what we all needed to relax. The dining room table was the spot to be! Played games each night and just naturally gathered there for good conversation.

5/16/18 (Indiana) A great place to relax and be close to nature. The rushing clear water outside the door of the cabin just beyond the two level deck provides a soothing background sound to the ambiance of the cabin. More than ample room for the two of us and well equipped to handle many more. The cabin is well kept, clean, and comfortable. We made good use of the appliances in the kitchen as well as the outdoor grill which was in very good condition. The main sitting area adjacent to the heating stove is provided with plenty of deep comfortable seating.
2/17/18 This romantic and rustic cabin could be out of a movie. Equipped with everything you need for a quiet ski vacation. We were here with our four little children and friends with their three children. It worked great for us. The cabin is at the end of a road. If it snows you definitely need a 4x4 or snow chains to get in and out. Our kids were able to ride their toboggan on the road directly in front of the house. It was awesome. The owners are extremely helpful and take good care of this cabin. Thank you!
1/19/18 (Kansas) Dave and Anne are wonderful to work with. They have carefully decorated and supplied Sleepy Hollow with everything anyone could ask for. Sleepy Hollow is in a great location right on the bank of the South Fork of the Arkansas river. The sound of the flowing water adds a peace to the surroundings that I’ve never experienced before. Our group of 12 was easily accommodated. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans big enough for such a large party. The cabin is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The woodwork is AMAZING! Dave and Anne were very helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. They responded very quickly to every message sent. I can’t wait to go back!
12/7/17 We had a great time at Sleepy Hollow. The cabin is so comfortable, well-equipped, and clean. Pictures don’t do it justice, such a beautiful place. The views are breathtaking. Another plus is that is so close to all the winter activities. We definitely recommend Sleepy Hollow.
9/28/17 (Colorado) This cabin was the perfect setting for our annual leaf-peeping drive up into the mountains. From reservation through checkout, everything went extremely well with this experience. Dave and Anne are very easy to work with. The cabin's location is just absolutely perfect and it is beautifully appointed. At check-in, all information was readily available, clear, and concise. Check-out was a breeze as well. This was certainly in our top 2 VRBO experiences and we would definitely (and probably will ) repeat.

3/6/17 (Colorado) Sleepy Hollow is the perfect getaway for our annual "girls" ski trip to Monarch. It is very clean, comfortable and in a beautiful spot. This is the second year we have stayed at Sleepy Hollow and we plan to make it our tradition! We had a great time and are so happy that we found Sleepy Hollow.
2/23/17 (Louisiana) We usually stay in Buena Vista with family for our weekend ski trips to Monarch, but this year we wanted something closer to the slopes and a little roomier...this was perfect! Everything we needed and kitchen table with benches was perfect for our large group. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Hope to return next year!
1/12/17 (Montana, Colorado) Our group had a really wonderful/magical weekend. There were 12 of us, good friends in our late 20s and early 30s, coming in for a ski trip - and it was ideal. So cozy, such a wonderful space. Perfect for a low key group cabin trip. We'd definitely come back! Very close to Monarch - just a few minutes away.
11/3/16 (Colorado) We wanted to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with the children and grandchildren. We found Sleepy Hollow online. The entire experience was wonderful, from booking to checking out. Reserving and paying for our stay couldn't be any more convenient. Sleepy Hollow is a beautiful property and is furnished with everything you could possibly need, especially in the kitchen. Sleepy Hollow is a great way to enjoy this breathtaking area.
9/16/2016 (Colorado)--This is our third annual stay at this cabin and I am sure we will be back again. The family that owns it is extremely easy to work with and very kind. The cabin is as it always is, clean, comfy and in a beautiful location. It has everything you would need for a getaway and is set up perfectly for our annual friends reunion. Perfect community areas but enough space to step away if needed. We will see you again next year. Thank you!
7/23/2016 (Texas)--This beautiful cabin was just perfect for our family vacation. Our children and grandchildren from Anchorage, Alaska and Seabrook, Texas joined us for the entire week. We had plenty of space; we were even able to accommodate additional guests for meals. The large dining table was much appreciated as we cooked and ate all of our meals at the cabin with the exception of pizza in Salida one afternoon. The fast-flowing stream just outside the cabin created a restful environment for all to enjoy. What is not to like about a week of rafting, hiking, reading, playing games, visiting, etc. Thank you for sharing your amazing home!

5/25/2016 (Missouri)--Sleepy Hollow was a perfect retreat for our family! Dave and Anne have done an amazing job covering all amenities to suit all our needs. The place was immaculate and well thought out with comfort in mind. Very nicely decorated, and kitchen was well stocked. The river was by far my favorite thing. To hear it right outside our door at night and waking to it in the morning was so peaceful. Being able to sit outside and truly unplug from the world is where it's at. The cabin is spacious and the couches and beds were very comfortable. The washer and dryer were a definite plus for us as well. They also have a great selection of dvd's and cable. Dave checked in with us and just was the nicest host you'd ever want to encounter! We truly enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Hollow and will definitely be back. I highly recommend staying here. You'll be glad you did.

12/27/2015--Thank you for a wonderful Christmas holiday with our family. Our "adventure" getting here is definitely one we will remember. Our 4wd Suburban was able to get us to Monarch Mountain for great skiing! The sleds at Sleepy Hollow were so much fun! We had races down the hill. Your cabin was a perfect choice for us. The Christmas decorations were festive and classic. Thank you!
9/5/2015--The cabin could not have been more perfect for our dozen family members. The river, balcony, and bridge made it extra special. To be able to open a window and hear the flowing river with the surrounding pines, aspens, and wildflowers . . . so nice! The cabin is very well maintained and contained everything we needed. Our three days there were idyllic.
8/14/2015--Could not have asked for a better experience. Cabin was beautiful, clean, well kept, spacious, cozy. We have already decided we want to come back! The sound of the river and the view of the mountains was awesome.
7/9/2015--Sleepy Hollow was everything they said it was! We had a great time and everything was great. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room to all eat together and with the kitchen and family room and open concept it was perfect!! Would definitely go back there and highly recommend it to all!

Hiking, off roading, Elk and moose sightings, fishing, coffee on the porch listening to the stream, and gathering for family meals at the large dinner table. 3/7/2015--What a fun week in Monarch, CO! We arrived late at night and arrived to tons of snow, so the advice for 4 wheel drive was definitely appreciated. We travelled with another family of 4 and having multiple rooms and sleeping arrangements easily accommodated 4 adults and 4 children. The cabin was rustic, well-appointed, and had the perfect living area for all of us to crash in comfort after a long day of skiing so we could re-live the day's ski adventures. The kitchen table was huge and wonderfully sat all of us for meals together. The cabin was just a short distance from the ski area. We had no disappointments during our stay and loved the snow covered creek next to the cabin nestled in the trees.
2/21/2015--Sleepy Hollow Cabin was more than we hoped. It is very warm, cozy, clean and inviting. The kitchen has all items you will need for cooking that big meal for your family. The location is beautiful and breath taking. My family and I went skiing at Monarch it this cabin is a very short 10 minute drive. We absolutely loved our stay and plan on returning upon our next visit to Colorado.
(Colorado, 12/26/2014) This cabin provided the most magical and memorable experience for two families to spend Christmas in the mountains. The layout is perfect and the cabin is exactly what I would build if I was able to have a cabin in the mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed to have a beautiful Christmas dinner. The kitchen table is so large that all 9 of us could easily sit around for a formal dinner or just to play games each evening. The family room fit all 9 of us very comfortably as we watched a movie or just sat around visiting. The location to Monarch Ski Area was the best we have ever had. This cabin provided the perfect backdrop to create memories that will last a lifetime (this is exactly how both families kept describing the trip). We would stay here again in a heartbeat....and would love to experience this cabin in the spring, summer or fall as well. The owners were wonderful to work with!! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us - what a gift!!

We have stayed here several times. This cozy cabin is thoroughly enjoyable in every aspect. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The creek side location allows for the relaxing sound of rushing water. Beyond the cabin, the area is an outdoor paradise. Hiking, white water rafting, skiing, fishing and more are just moments away. We had a time to remember with an awesome Chaffee County shooting range experience to Skiing/Boarding at Monarch the following day with fresh powder. Icing on the cake was your cabin. COMFORT (Couches, seating and beds) and CLEAN, well equipped and tastefully decorated. I even shoveled the snow off the bridge to the center so my husband and I could place our folding loveseat there and watch the water rush by while the snow came down with hot coffee. Great to unplug. Hope to book a girlfriend weekend next!

What a very comfy place to stay! All the Christmas touches added a nice touch to 16 of our family being together. Our son and 4 of his family of six were up the road at the Old Timers Cabin. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My husband just recently returned from deployment, and this was the perfect vacation for us and our parents to relax and get away from it all. We rented this cabin some time ago for a family reunion during the summer, and then this past March for a family ski trip. Whichever season you pick, you really can't go wrong staying here. During the summer, our kids waded up the babbling creek behind the cabin and enjoyed making memories with their cousins. This winter, the coziness of the cabin made for an excellent little ski trip getaway. We were literally about five minutes away from Monarch Ski resort, which offers some great skiing without the pricey-ness of a Keystone, Vail or Copper Mountain. It is really a beautiful spot--one that really wakes up the senses and refreshes the spirit! I don't think you can go wrong by staying at this cabin. The owners were very attentive to every question that I had, and are proactive in wanting to make sure that your family vacation is one that will go down in the books as one of your favorites. It definitely was for our family!
6/16/24 This cabin was an awesome place to spend our family vacation! It was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very cozy nestled by the river. We caught several nice trout in the river. The young ones enjoyed hiking. While sitting at the dinner table the river added enjoyment to our meals. Thanks for letting us stay in your cozy cabin!
2/14/24 We stayed here with our kids and their spouses for a 4 night ski trip. It’s the perfect location to get to Monarch in just minutes. The cabin itself is very charming and there was plenty of space to comfortably host all 10 of us. The views are exquisite too! Lastly, the host went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. Truly, perfect stay! We can’t wait to return!

There were plenty of options for the kids to spread out and have space for fun & sleep. The kitchen was so well stocked (and so organized with the labels!) and easy to prepare meals away from home. Most thankful for the responses from the host from checking on our arrival to the prompt response and fixing of a minor plumbing issue. Meeting Dave & talking with him was one of our highlights. 6/10/23 The Cabin at Sleepy Hollow is just beautiful -- surrounded by pine and aspen trees on the edge of the rushing water of the river. Mornings were so peaceful enjoying our coffee overlooking the river while sitting in comfortable wooden rocking chairs. The interior contains custom rough hewn woodwork throughout and the bedrooms and loft gave everyone in our party ample space to relax. Thank you, Dave & Anne!

We stayed here with our family friends and now-young-adult children to ski at Monarch and had a wonderful time in this warm and beautiful and cozy cabin with a well-stocked (and meticulously labeled) kitchen. The nicely-sized kitchen table was well-used for meals and nightly games and puzzles. The owners even called us while we were there to make sure everything was going all right.

6/4/22 My wife and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly at Sleepy Hollow Cabin and would not hesitate to come stay again with friends and family. The location is peaceful as it is right on a river that provides that quintessential mountain stream sound 24-7. Salida and Poncha Springs are close by with shopping and other restaurant options. Hunt Lake trail is almost across the street and is great ORV trail and hike. The location is also close to dozens of other hikes and attractions in the area.
5/22/22 Sleepy Hollow is such a prime location for a mountain getaway! We went with a group just for the weekend and even though we got snowed in, Sleepy Hollow was the perfect place to be during a snowstorm! It's cozy, (the fireplace is clutch!) quiet, and in such a beautiful location! Dave & Anne are super good at communicating, so there was no anxiety there! Highly recommend!

2/8/22 Picture perfect cabin with gorgeous views. Just what you'd dream of if you were envisioning a cozy stay in the middle of winter in the mountains of Colorado. The location was perfect for skiing at Monarch, it was only five miles up the road. We had all we needed at the cabin and made all our own meals, running just a 20 minute drive into Salida if we needed another ingredient at Walmart. The cabin was very clean and we were very comfortable for our 5 night stay. You'd definitely need 4 wheel drive to access the drive to the house (it does get plowed) so bring your beefy vehicles.
1/8/22 My group of family and friends stayed at Sleepy Hollow Cabin during a week-long ski trip right after New Year's. Very warm and homey, this cabin was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the owners were very responsive, friendly, and helpful.

My daughter and I explored local hiking trails as we all enjoyed the comfort and beauty of Sleepy Hollow Cabin. This is the perfect mountain cabin in the eyes of this city boy. 5/31/21 Perfect place to stay with the family. The house comfortably slept 3 generations. We could have sat on one of the large porches all day, listening to the river, enjoying the view and playing games. But a 20 minute drive to Salida for the hot springs, shopping and river walk were totally worth leaving our peaceful, rustic, upscale cabin. We also enjoyed a hike that was just down the road. Would totally rent this place again. The owners, Dave and Anne, keep the place clean and are very responsive during the booking process, and even called to check in on us during our stay. It was a perfect setting for my father's 70th birthday.

3/7/21 What a great find this cabin was. It slept all 12 of us nicely. I was initially concerned with only two bathrooms, but that was really no problem at all. The location was very convenient to Monarch Mountain and also the town of Salida, both of which are fantastic places. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. One of the owners called me our our first night to make sure everything was to our liking, which was very sweet and much-appreciated. Everyone enjoyed themselves greatly and we would choose this cabin to stay in again!

12/19/20 We had our extended family Christmas ski and snow machine trip here. This is an excellent family type cabin. We would divinely do it again. Cabin has a real warm feeling and we all enjoyed it, both young and old. It is close to the ski slopes and the snow machine company was right up the road. We got to meet the home owner and you will not find a nicer person. For the price you will not find a better place that handles so many guests.

9/17/20 My husband and I were looking for a house where we could spend a couple of days in a weekend of fun with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren while we were visiting them in CO. The idea of being right on the river sounded exactly like what we needed. The house had enough space for three generations to spend time together and relax. The pictures don’t show all the beautiful wood construction inside the house. When you drive up to the house, it seems like it will be small, but the minute you walk inside you realize it’s incredibly spacious. Then you look out the windows to the gorgeous views of the trees, the rushing river and waterfalls. All levels have covered seating outside with rocking chairs. The wooden bridge over the river is so special. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes/cookware and ready for meal prep. All this and lots of activities for our group in the area as well as in Salida. We hope to be back again to this special place.

7/15/20 We had a fantastic time at Sleepy Hollow Cabin. There were 5 adults and 5 teenagers and we were very comfortable. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped with anything you could possibly need. The sound of the river was so peaceful and made for very enjoyable evenings and mornings at the cabin. We were able to enjoy whitewater rafting, hiking and horseback riding all within about 30 minute drive. Downtown Salida is also about 30 minutes away with quaint shops and good restaurants. One thing to note is that the nearest grocery store is 13 miles away. I would highly recommend the Sleepy Hollow Cabin without hesitation!!
6/21/20 We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation this summer. We took our four boys and stayed in Sleepy Hollow cabin for five days. The cabin is well maintained and very comfortable. The boys (and us) loved the access to the water and the peace of the location. While we did many things in the area, I asked our five year old his favorite part of vacation. He thought, and then said, "the cabin". Aside from the nice accommodations, the owners, Dave and Anne were wonderful hosts. Very amicable and welcoming. Our trip was enhanced because we were able to interact with these owners. Sleepy Hollow is a wonderful place to stay!

12/26/19 This Sleepy Hollow cabin was perfect for us to gift my 3 children and their kids an Event Present of a lifetime. The cabin was so close to snowmobile tour and the Monarch Ski area. The children also loved sledding on the secluded road. Thank You so very much! The Cabin was so well organized, clean and well stocked! We will book again very soon I hope. The setting is picturesque for winter or summer.

Our crew had an absolute blast and we plan on returning next ski season if not sooner! I would highly recommend this cozy cabin to EVERYONE! 1/18/19 (Colorado) For our ski trip the property is fantastic. It is close enough to Monarch ski resort that the commute is a breeze in the morning and after long day of skiing easy and quick to come home. Even with double digit snow on Friday the road coming into the property was kept plowed that our vehicles, including a small crossover SUV, had no problems. Rooms are spacious enough including a bunk room for a group of kids. Internet worked after rebooting the router, but that was easy enough to-do and locate. I can imagine the Summer time is beautiful with the stream right behind the property and the deck.
12/11/18 (Texas) I love this cabin..The place was so comfortable, everything that we needed was there. The cabin, well, there are not words to explain the experience. Our family had a blast. We FINALLY had a white and cold Thanksgiving!! Coming from Houston Texas where Thanksgiving dinner attire is short sleeve and a light sweater, having dinner while it is snowing and enjoying from all angles of the cabin, the views were mesmerizing. The cabin was clean and well taken care of.. I totally recommend it. Thank you!!!!

The rushing clear water outside the door of the cabin just beyond the two level deck provides a soothing background sound to the ambiance of the cabin. More than ample room for the two of us and well equipped to handle many more. The cabin is well kept, clean, and comfortable. We made good use of the appliances in the kitchen as well as the outdoor grill which was in very good condition. The main sitting area adjacent to the heating stove is provided with plenty of deep comfortable seating.
2/17/18 This romantic and rustic cabin could be out of a movie. Equipped with everything you need for a quiet ski vacation. We were here with our four little children and friends with their three children. It worked great for us. The cabin is at the end of a road. If it snows you definitely need a 4x4 or snow chains to get in and out. Our kids were able to ride their toboggan on the road directly in front of the house. It was awesome. The owners are extremely helpful and take good care of this cabin. Thank you!
1/19/18 (Kansas) Dave and Anne are wonderful to work with. They have carefully decorated and supplied Sleepy Hollow with everything anyone could ask for. Sleepy Hollow is in a great location right on the bank of the South Fork of the Arkansas river. The sound of the flowing water adds a peace to the surroundings that I’ve never experienced before. Our group of 12 was easily accommodated. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans big enough for such a large party. The cabin is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The woodwork is AMAZING! Dave and Anne were very helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. They responded very quickly to every message sent. I can’t wait to go back!

9/28/17 (Colorado) This cabin was the perfect setting for our annual leaf-peeping drive up into the mountains. From reservation through checkout, everything went extremely well with this experience. Dave and Anne are very easy to work with. The cabin's location is just absolutely perfect and it is beautifully appointed. At check-in, all information was readily available, clear, and concise. Check-out was a breeze as well. This was certainly in our top 2 VRBO experiences and we would definitely (and probably will ) repeat.

11/3/16 (Colorado) We wanted to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with the children and grandchildren. We found Sleepy Hollow online. The entire experience was wonderful, from booking to checking out. Reserving and paying for our stay couldn't be any more convenient. Sleepy Hollow is a beautiful property and is furnished with everything you could possibly need, especially in the kitchen. Sleepy Hollow is a great way to enjoy this breathtaking area.
9/16/2016 (Colorado)--This is our third annual stay at this cabin and I am sure we will be back again. The family that owns it is extremely easy to work with and very kind. The cabin is as it always is, clean, comfy and in a beautiful location. It has everything you would need for a getaway and is set up perfectly for our annual friends reunion. Perfect community areas but enough space to step away if needed. We will see you again next year. Thank you!
7/23/2016 (Texas)--This beautiful cabin was just perfect for our family vacation. Our children and grandchildren from Anchorage, Alaska and Seabrook, Texas joined us for the entire week. We had plenty of space; we were even able to accommodate additional guests for meals. The large dining table was much appreciated as we cooked and ate all of our meals at the cabin with the exception of pizza in Salida one afternoon. The fast-flowing stream just outside the cabin created a restful environment for all to enjoy. What is not to like about a week of rafting, hiking, reading, playing games, visiting, etc. Thank you for sharing your amazing home!

5/25/2016 (Missouri)--Sleepy Hollow was a perfect retreat for our family! Dave and Anne have done an amazing job covering all amenities to suit all our needs. The place was immaculate and well thought out with comfort in mind. Very nicely decorated, and kitchen was well stocked. The river was by far my favorite thing. To hear it right outside our door at night and waking to it in the morning was so peaceful. Being able to sit outside and truly unplug from the world is where it's at. The cabin is spacious and the couches and beds were very comfortable. The washer and dryer were a definite plus for us as well. They also have a great selection of dvd's and cable. Dave checked in with us and just was the nicest host you'd ever want to encounter! We truly enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Hollow and will definitely be back. I highly recommend staying here. You'll be glad you did.
5/19/2016--What an amazing cabin and location! We loved the sound of the river, we could just sit and stare and listen and truly unplug! Great quiet space for us. We will for sure make this cabin a yearly retreat!
1/2/2016--What a lovely stay with friends to usher in 2016! The cabin was super close to skiing, and sledding right out the front door! Good directions here and for our stay, and well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of space for 2 families +. Thank you for a great stay.
12/27/2015--Thank you for a wonderful Christmas holiday with our family. Our "adventure" getting here is definitely one we will remember. Our 4wd Suburban was able to get us to Monarch Mountain for great skiing! The sleds at Sleepy Hollow were so much fun! We had races down the hill. Your cabin was a perfect choice for us. The Christmas decorations were festive and classic. Thank you!
9/5/2015--The cabin could not have been more perfect for our dozen family members. The river, balcony, and bridge made it extra special. To be able to open a window and hear the flowing river with the surrounding pines, aspens, and wildflowers . . . so nice! The cabin is very well maintained and contained everything we needed. Our three days there were idyllic.
8/14/2015--Could not have asked for a better experience. Cabin was beautiful, clean, well kept, spacious, cozy. We have already decided we want to come back! The sound of the river and the view of the mountains was awesome.
7/9/2015--Sleepy Hollow was everything they said it was! We had a great time and everything was great. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room to all eat together and with the kitchen and family room and open concept it was perfect!! Would definitely go back there and highly recommend it to all!
6/6/2015--Sleepy Hollow was above and beyond what we wanted in a family vacation destination. Hiking, off roading, Elk and moose sightings, fishing, coffee on the porch listening to the stream, and gathering for family meals at the large dinner table. Story book experience that our whole family will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you!!
3/7/2015--What a fun week in Monarch, CO! We arrived late at night and arrived to tons of snow, so the advice for 4 wheel drive was definitely appreciated. We travelled with another family of 4 and having multiple rooms and sleeping arrangements easily accommodated 4 adults and 4 children. The cabin was rustic, well-appointed, and had the perfect living area for all of us to crash in comfort after a long day of skiing so we could re-live the day's ski adventures. The kitchen table was huge and wonderfully sat all of us for meals together. The cabin was just a short distance from the ski area. We had no disappointments during our stay and loved the snow covered creek next to the cabin nestled in the trees.
2/21/2015--Sleepy Hollow Cabin was more than we hoped. It is very warm, cozy, clean and inviting. The kitchen has all items you will need for cooking that big meal for your family. The location is beautiful and breath taking. My family and I went skiing at Monarch it this cabin is a very short 10 minute drive. We absolutely loved our stay and plan on returning upon our next visit to Colorado.
(Colorado, 12/26/2014) This cabin provided the most magical and memorable experience for two families to spend Christmas in the mountains. The layout is perfect and the cabin is exactly what I would build if I was able to have a cabin in the mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed to have a beautiful Christmas dinner. The kitchen table is so large that all 9 of us could easily sit around for a formal dinner or just to play games each evening. The family room fit all 9 of us very comfortably as we watched a movie or just sat around visiting. The location to Monarch Ski Area was the best we have ever had. This cabin provided the perfect backdrop to create memories that will last a lifetime (this is exactly how both families kept describing the trip). We would stay here again in a heartbeat....and would love to experience this cabin in the spring, summer or fall as well. The owners were wonderful to work with!! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us - what a gift!!

We have stayed here several times. This cozy cabin is thoroughly enjoyable in every aspect. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The creek side location allows for the relaxing sound of rushing water. Beyond the cabin, the area is an outdoor paradise. Hiking, white water rafting, skiing, fishing and more are just moments away. We had a time to remember with an awesome Chaffee County shooting range experience to Skiing/Boarding at Monarch the following day with fresh powder. Icing on the cake was your cabin. COMFORT (Couches, seating and beds) and CLEAN, well equipped and tastefully decorated. I even shoveled the snow off the bridge to the center so my husband and I could place our folding loveseat there and watch the water rush by while the snow came down with hot coffee. Great to unplug. Hope to book a girlfriend weekend next!

What a very comfy place to stay! All the Christmas touches added a nice touch to 16 of our family being together. Our son and 4 of his family of six were up the road at the Old Timers Cabin. We enjoyed walks in the snow, skiing, hikes in the forest plus just relaxing, reading, napping and watching gift videos. A fitting conclusion to 2013.

We really enjoyed our time at Sleepy Hollow Cabin--it is such an idyllic and peaceful retreat in the Rocky Mountains, next to a babbling river among majestic evergreens and cottonwoods. It was a great get-away place to be with family and enjoy many adventurous things that we don't normally get to do, like river rafting, trout fishing and ATVing. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My husband just recently returned from deployment, and this was the perfect vacation for us and our parents to relax and get away from it all. Our children spent hours outside in the river. The rain was a blessing during this drought and wildfire season, and it definitely didn't dampen our spirits! We rented this cabin some time ago for a family reunion during the summer, and then this past March for a family ski trip. Whichever season you pick, you really can't go wrong staying here. During the summer, our kids waded up the babbling creek behind the cabin and enjoyed making memories with their cousins. This winter, the coziness of the cabin made for an excellent little ski trip getaway. We were literally about five minutes away from Monarch Ski resort, which offers some great skiing without the pricey-ness of a Keystone, Vail or Copper Mountain. It is really a beautiful spot--one that really wakes up the senses and refreshes the spirit! I don't think you can go wrong by staying at this cabin. The owners were very attentive to every question that I had, and are proactive in wanting to make sure that your family vacation is one that will go down in the books as one of your favorites. It definitely was for our family!
